Adult Horse Riding Holidays

*Late bookings for adults* - we have vacancies on 24th November, for individuals and groups.  Non riding partners or friends welcome.

Our riding holidays for adults are tailored to suit the individual and we do our utmost to make your stay enjoyable. None riding partners are also welcome to stay and follow their own hobbies, we can help to arrange activities such as water sport, golf, sea fishing, cycling etc. We have a typical daily programme for riding guests but if you have any specific requests please make a note on your booking form and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

While you are with us you can have lessons in dressage, cross country, show jumping or side saddle, indoors or out, ride on the beach and hack around Carn Brea Castle or on one of the many coast to coast bridle paths. At no extra cost you can also train for your Association of British Riding Schools Equitation and Stable management Tests. Most people like a mixture of lessons and hacks so they can put into practice what they have learned in their lessons. Our courses are suitable for all levels of abilities from the total beginner to the more advance competition rider.  You can even help the girls in the yard if you wish and learn the practical side of keeping a horse, or just hand your horse to someone and go and chill out.

Suitable for everybody

Wheal Buller Riding School is set within the World Heritage site of the Mineral Tramways, and in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with panoramic views extending to the sea. We are located in a part of Cornwall where it is just 11 miles from the North to the South coast. We are one mile from the historic tin mining town of Redruth. This rural setting, amid quiet fields and rugged hills, provides a relaxing retreat from the pressure of work and daily life.

Our riding holidays are ideally suited for single adults of who we have a fairly high proportion, no one ever feels left out and we don't charge any extra for single occupancy of a room.
We can also cater for groups of adults and families. If you are seeking a relaxing holiday with horses we are sure that you will appreciate the warm, friendly atmosphere. 

In the heart of Cornwall

We are just one and a half miles from the small tin mining town of Redruth which has Inter city bus and railway stations and we are happy to collect you from here free of charge. Taxis can also be arranged to collect you from Newquay Airport which has daily flights from the major cities. In Redruth there is an assortment of shops where you should be able to buy all you may need, there is also a selection of country pubs for a quiet drink in the evening.

Holidays are available from 2 days and nights and the all-inclusive tariff covers full board, accommodation, snacks, use of hot tub and all riding activities. It is also possible for you to stay in alternative accommodation and attended the riding school daily.

 

Your stay

·        Weeks run from Sunday 1pm until Saturday 1pm (Please ensure you have had lunch on Sunday before arrival as there is no food available until evening meal, but lunch is included before departure on Saturday)

·        Shorter breaks from 2 days

The price includes virtually unlimited horse riding, food and accommodation in twin bedded rooms within a large bungalow for the use of our guests only. Guests need bring their own towels.
