Children & Young Riders Club

Saturday Club

For local regular riders the Young Riders Club meets every Saturday all children are welcome from the age of 4 years. This is fun, practical and educational. Bring a packed lunch have your lesson and if you are over 8 years stay for the day. We also have our Sunday Workshop for older children, see below.  Earn Young Riders Club Points for attending lectures, helping, homework and competitions which you can use for free riding. Ofsted, Association of British Riding School and Club Mark approved.

Sunday Workshop

TYPICAL DAY

09.30 Groom and tack up your pony ready for your lesson.

10.00am Yard duties such as mucking out your pony or cleaning it’s tack.

11.00am Riding lesson for your ABRS Test.

12.00 Lunch

01.00pm Ride the ponies back to the field.

02.00pm Lecture for your stable management Test.

03.00pm Hand in your homework and do a fun quiz.

Own your own pony

Events for winter and spring include Half Term Camp, during school holidays, come and stay with us and own and take care of your own pony for 3 days take part in a lessons, hacks, day ride and horseshow and gymkhana, lots of rosettes to win.

If there are any other activities you would like to do, as long as there are 4 or more to take part we will try our best to do it.

Activity days

We are running special “Activity days” for Young Riders Club members throughout the school holidays. Arrive by 9am with a packed lunch and stay until 4.30pm.  Each day will be fun packed horse activities and are suitable for novice and experienced riders. As we are OFSTED approved (EY424975) you can use your Child Care Allowance to pay for Activity Days with us at a cost of £55 per day or £270 if the book 5 days.
